What Your Budget Buys: Yachts in Dubai at AED 500K to 10M+
By Jyrki Jaamaa, Managing Director2 min read
Yacht budgets in Dubai buy more than most people expect at the entry level, and the ladder climbs smoothly to flagship money. Roughly: under AED 500K buys a genuine new day boat; AED 1M a family cruiser or 41 foot sailing yacht; AED 2M a premium day yacht or flybridge; AED 5M+ flagship sailing yachts and serious motor tonnage; AED 10M+ is sourcing territory for the big luxury brands. All figures below are indicative starting prices; exact pricing depends on specification.
Under AED 500,000: the real entry point
This band buys a genuine, warrantied new boat, not a compromise. Indicatively: the Cap Camarat 5.5 WA from about AED 195,000, the Cap Camarat 6.5 models from the mid 200Ks, and the Merry Fisher 695 family weekender around AED 345,000. Add the running costs from our ownership guide and this remains the smartest first step into boating.
AED 500,000 to 1M: the family band
Here the choice widens fast: the Merry Fisher 895 around AED 610,000, the bigger Cap Camarat 9.0 and 10.5 day boats, and the first real sailing yachts, with the Sun Odyssey 350 about AED 690,000 and the race-ready Sun Fast 3300 around AED 775,000. Eight to ten guests, weekend-capable, still owner-operated.
AED 1M to 2M: the sweet spot
Arguably the best value band in Dubai. The Merry Fisher 1095 Fly at about AED 1.0M, the ultra-stable TH33 powercat at 1.27M, the Sun Odyssey 490 flagship cruiser at 1.55M, the premium DB/37 day yacht from 1.78M and the loft-style Sea Loft 480 at 1.96M. Our size guide helps you choose within it.
AED 2M to 5M: premium territory
Now you are buying presence: the Merry Fisher 1295 Fly at about AED 2.35M, the DB/43 from 2.6M, the TH38 at 2.0M, a certified pre-owned DB/37 at 2.995M, and the Jeanneau Yachts 55 at 3.66M, a true luxury sailing flagship. At this level a captain enters the budget; read the ownership costs first.
AED 5M to 10M: flagships
The Jeanneau Yachts 60 sits around AED 5.16M and the Jeanneau Yachts 65 around 9.0M indicative. On the motor side this budget opens the pre-owned market for large yachts from the major luxury builders, where our sourcing service does the searching, inspecting and negotiating for you.
AED 10M and above: the sourcing brief
Above 10M the right yacht is rarely sitting on a listing page; it is found. This is brief-driven territory, superyachts and large luxury tonnage like our pre-owned Azimut Grande 25 Metri, where JJ Marine's buy-side sourcing works the market for you, and management runs the yacht after handover.
The JJ Marine view
Budget bands are a starting point, not a verdict: a well-chosen boat one band down often beats a stretched purchase one band up, once running costs land. All prices above are indicative starting figures. For a current quote on any model, or a sourcing brief beyond the list, talk to us.
